True Hue Books was born from a vision to create coloring books that celebrate Black children in everyday adventures. We believe every child deserves to see themselves in the art they color.

We who grew up knowing how powerful it is to feel seen — and how often that feeling was missing in the books, stories, and pages handed to us.

True Hue Books was born out of love for our younger selves and the children in our lives today — kids who deserve to see their curls, their skin, their families, and their everyday routines reflected with joy and pride.

We believe representation shouldn’t just show up in history books or superhero movies. It should live in the little things — getting ready for school, exploring new interests, learning something new, solving problems with kindness, or just being yourself.

Those are the moments that shape confidence and identity early on.

Each coloring page we create celebrates that truth. That Black childhood is worthy, joyful, and beautifully ordinary.
